Ouarzazate is a city in the South of the mountains of the Moroccan High Atlas, known as being the door of the desert of Sahara. Its enormous Kasbah of Taourirt, sheltering a palace of the XIXth century, offer a view on the rocky landscape of neighborhood, which appears in several movies. In the northwest is the fortified city in red ground of Aït-ben-Haddou, whereas the rocky gorges of Toudra extend in the northeast. A road winds towards the southeast, through the luxuriant palm groves of the valley of Drâa, in the direction of the desert

Begin your one day excursion at 07:00 with a pick up from Marrakech. Jump in your air-conditioned car and impregnate you landscape while travelling in the mountains of the Atlas. You will be informed about the life in the mountain villages, and cross the spectacular col of Tizi Tichka, while going up to 2,420 meters (2 415 meters) on the way.

The travel takes approximately 3 hours in each direction. The first stop is at the top of Tizi’n’Tichka, the second in the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou (site of the world heritage of UNESCO) and the third with Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa). Then, return to Marrakech, where you will be deposited in your accommodation in Marrakech around 19:30.
